Welcome I hope this web page might interest not only family and friends but
also those who wish to travel to some of the places we have enjoyed.
Please e-mail us with questions you might have. We are not sure that every question
can be answered but will try to do so.
Miryam and I were married in 1967 while I was working for Bendix Field Engineering
Co. at a NASA tracking facility near Quito, Ecuador. The information on Madagascar
comes from 2 years at the NASA station near Tananarive, Madagascar.
We were not able to travel as much while raising 2 daughters, Karen and
Sharon. I worked for Texaco Pipelines and Miryam with Latin American
Programs at Texas A&M
University. After the children were grown, we both decided to take
early retirement and begin again our travels.
Mexico was our first choice. The Mexican sojourn lasted for
almost a year before a return to Texas. Next came a series of other trips
to Greece, China and Turkey before several extended returns to Ecuador.
Since 9/11 (we were in the air, traveling that morning) we have stopped
much of our overseas travels and stay near our home in Lago Vista, Texas about
35 miles north of Austin on Lake Travis.
